Around Your City

  • On May 29th crews began the project of inspecting, washing and repainting the exterior of our elevated water tower. The process of cleaning and repainting is done for a couple reasons: the exterior coating protects the metal structure of the tank from any corrosion and, also, to give it a new clean and bright look! Normally this process takes place every 10-15 years, but as you can see in the first photo the paint was flawed from the manufacture and failed prematurely. During the repainting process we changed the color to match the ground storage tank located at the Water Plant.
